2021 Lottery Information

2021 Northern Tier Lottery Details 

Northern Tier will offer a lottery for reservations for the 2021 summer season and 2020-21 Okpik season.  The registration for the lottery will be open from Tuesday January 7, 2020 until Monday January 13, 2020.   

  • Lottery Entries will be taken online at www.ntier.org/reservations. 
  • Crews selected for a Northern Tier Trek will be notified by email by January 24, 2020.   
  • Any crews not selected will be notified by February 1, 2020. 
  • Remaining reservations will open first-come, first-served on February 1, 2020. 
  • The crew deposit will be due by February 14, 2020 for all crews accepted in the lottery. 
  • Only one entry per unit will be accepted.  If there are duplicate entries for a unit, those entries will be discarded.  Please designate only one individual to enter the lottery.

*Ely and Atikokan crews planning to travel into the Quetico Provincial Park will pay additional park fees at the time of entrance.  Crews should plan to budget an additional $750-$1500 for these park fees.  More details can be found at:  http://www.ontarioparks.com/park/quetico#BackcountryCamping 

**Lightweight canoes are not available for Bissett Trips.   

***Northern Tier outfits Lightweight Canoes as standard practice. If crews prefer to use a heavier aluminum canoe, they must note that at the time of registration.

All fees (deposit, first payment and final payment) are non-refundable and non-transferable in event of cancellation. Exercise caution in making reservations or paying fees for anyone who has not made a financial commitment.  Northern Tier High Adventure Programs must commit financial resources to employ staff, purchase food and supplies, and prepare for base operations. Participants are, therefore, also required to make a financial commitment to attend. Be conservative in making reservations to avoid losing fees due to cancellations.
