The Charles L. Sommers Wilderness Canoe Base has kilometers of cross country ski trails ready for you to explore!  This program is great even for the beginner to cross country skiing.

Each crew will pull their gear along on a sled to a remote campsite. From there you may build shelters, take day trips, ice fish, learn skiing and snowshoeing techniques, and enjoy the pristine winter wilderness. Crews will also get a dog sled ride as part of your OKPIK Winter Adventure.  To earn your patch crews must move to a new campsite each day.
