Musher Camp
Musher Camp

Learn all about dog sledding (mushing). You will stay in the heated Musher Camp Yurts located next to the dog yard near the OKPIK Base Camp. Staying in a tent or Quinzee (snow dome) instead of the Yurt is an option.  Each participant will learn how to train, care for, harness, and run sled dogs. You will also be able to mush your own team on wilderness day trips.  This is an excellent program to prepare your group for a dog sledding expedition next year! Musher Camp treks must be at least three days in length.
