Cold Weather Leader Training
OKPIK Coldweather

This is the official Boy Scouts of America course for individual leaders and older youth. The emphasis of the training is on how to develop and run a cold weather camping program for your unit, district, or council. The training will cover shelter options, snow travel techniques, dog sledding, logistics, safety concerns, inexpensive cold weather clothing, and low cost equipment options.  Participants will practice these techniques on their own expedition accompanied by skilled OKPIK staff.
