Conferences
The Charles L. Sommers Wilderness Canoe Base offers a unique and rustic conference facility on Moose Lake 20 miles east of Ely, Minnesota. Our property is adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico Provincial Park, which encompass over 3 million acres of pristine lakes and streams. Each summer, over 3,000 youth embark on a high-adventure trip from our landing on Moose Lake. During the fall, spring, and winter weekdays, our facility is available for conferences, so if you’d like to host a rustic conference or gathering in this beautiful wilderness setting, consider holding it at the Charles L. Sommers Wilderness Canoe Base.
The Sandy Bridges Program Center is our newest facility and one of our finest. At 14,000 square feet, it was opened this year to host all of your corporate conferences. Make an impression with our state of the art video and audio equipment, seating for 250 people, and the creature comforts of heating and air conditioning. For an atmospheric homage to the surrounding land of beauty, a rustic stone fireplace and an endless view of Northern Tier's majesty is included in the many amenities that come with the Sandy Bridges Program Center.
