Snowshoe Expeditions
The Charles L. Sommers Wilderness Canoe Base has kilometers of wilderness snow trails ready for you to explore. Snowshoeing beginners love this program! Each crew will pull their gear along on a sled to a remote campsite. From there you may build shelters, take day trips, ice fish, learn skiing and snowshoeing techniques, and enjoy the pristine winter wilderness. Crews will also get a dogsled ride as part of their Okpik winter adventure.
