Cold-Weather Leader Training
This is the official Boy Scouts of America course for individual leaders and older youth. The emphasis of the training is on how to develop and run a cold-weather camping program for your unit, district, or council. The training will cover shelter options, snow travel techniques, dogsledding, logistics, safety concerns, inexpensive cold-weather clothing, and low-cost equipment options. Participants will practice these techniques on their own expeditions accompanied by skilled Okpik staff.
